Engineering Mistake?

Review

Fast. Transmission is great. Handles well especially when using manual mode while driving. Does everything advertised. I buy a car every six months and so far, this may go down as one of the best.

Favorite Features

Supercharger, strong brakes, surround sound, adaptive cruise control (although not as good as my S-class which come to stop, and resumes).

Suggested Improvements

Blind spot minder has been problematic. Navigation is slow to reset. Would have liked to have traffic notification like many other cars. Alarm is way too sensitive. Can't figure out auto glove compartment yet no auto close trunk.

THEY FOUND THE DAMN NOISE

Review

I just wanted to let those who have been frustrated like I have been about a silly creak or chirp in what seems to be the carriage of the car that the fix ultimately is an easy one - thank goodness. There are two issues with the car and maybe it's the early ones, but one is the sunroof clips - fixed. The other is this creak or chirp which really ticked me off. I was at the brink on this one but my service rep figured it out today. The problem happened to be the cables attached to the latch which releases the back seats so they can fold down. YES, they fold down. The cables were rubbing against the metal at the top of the trunk. Problem solved. The car is great as it should be.

Looks, interior, great sound system

Suggested Improvements

Real time traffic on the nav would be nice. It would be nice if the gear shifter would go down once in drive and find a different button for "sport." Maybe a push down button in the middle of the shifter?

Review

I test drove most competitors in this class, and was not happy until I test drove the XF. I immediately knew this was a car for me! I have owned Lexus and Acura, but they do not compare with this car. The interior design is spectacular with the leather dash, great seating, and technology, and the exterior sets it apart from its competitors in its class. I have fallen madly in love with my first Jaguar - it is an exceptional vehicle! The build quality is excellent and the transmission shifts through the gears beautifully! I cannot explain how happy I am to have, on a whim, stopped in to test drive the XF.

The interior design, growl of the engine, handling of the car

A fun car to own

Review

I fell in love with the car after seeing it the first time. The car looks great. It has all the toys and features I could ever wanted in a car. Warm and cold package is a big plus. Blind spot warning is a nice feature. The auto dim mirror and navigation are nicely done. The rotating shifter dial is a nice change. The paddle gear shifters are convenient. The sound system is good. The handling is good, but not great compared to my BMW (performance 8). The noise reduction is not so good compared to Lexus and MB (comfort 8). The fuel economy is good for a V8. It may lack things in some areas, but overall it is so much fun to drive, I can ignore the rest.

Favorite Features

Blind spot warning. Heated and cooled seats. Rotating vent and shifter dial.

Suggested Improvements

Idle and driving (wind) noise is high compared to MB E class. The touch screen control is slow. I wish the designer could allow users to turn off the animations.

I love the solid feel of the car. The balance is wonderful. I had one mech problem, promptly fixed.

Favorite Features

B&W sound system is the best I have ever had. The intelligent cruise control works very well

Navigation software is poorly designed. Traffic restriction warning is very annoying.

XF Supercharged: A Wonderful Machine!

Review

This Supercharged XF is the blend between luxury and sport! It has the virtues of a fine luxury sports sedan, but with the DSC off and Sport mode engaged this is a machine with huge power on tap. The handling is quick and incredible, while always maintaining a slick and smooth feel, I love the way it looks too.

Review

This is my first Jaguar. I am a new owner and so far this car has exceeded my expectations. Great balance of sleek design, power, and comfort. Fit and finish is great and a heck of a lot of fun to drive

Favorite Features

Bowers and Wilkens stereo is very impressive. Adaptive cruise control is fantastic. Super comfortable and modern interior. Seat bottom is extendable on the supercharged car, great for tall drivers. Touch screen for nav and other driver controls

Suggested Improvements

Driver control preset buttons should be placed higher on the door.

Legendary Performance Tour

Review

On Sunday 10/12 I attended the Jaguar Legendary Performance Tour event at the Monticello Motor Club, NY. Each guest was provided a new Jaguar (XK or XF) to take on a 25 minute country drive. I am looking at the XF so this was a perfect opportunity. The car truly exceeded my expectations. But it gets better, upon return each guest was escorted to the race track. We were assigned a car and professional race driver. We were each given the opportunity to test drive the cars on a real track. For the second lap the professional takes the wheel. Words cannot describe the experience of a race car driver putting the XF through its paces. I walked away from there with a new found respect for the XF.

Favorite Features

Performance, ride, comfort and unbelievable handling capabilities. The car is far more capable than one would ever experience during normal everyday driving.

Great Car. Well Executed and Beautiful

Review

This car is well executed and has good performance. Handling is great, but still very smooth and silky. The car is comfortable and I find the interior very cool looking and functional. It is not your father's Jaguar, and anybody that says so is ignorant. The XF tranny with paddle shifters is very quick to respond. The base car at 300 HP is reasonably quick and for 50k it beats pants off of base BMW, MB and other 50k cars which come with 6 cylinder engines.

Looks good and drives well. Nice responsive handling. Great looks and appearance

Review

My XF 2009 is simply awesome. The exterior style turns heads everywhere I go. MB, Lexus and BMW are a dime a dozen but not this Jag. It is unique. The interior is extremely comfortable and high tech.

Favorite Features

Power, 20" wheels, strong shocks, powerful ac, sound system and navigation system.

Suggested Improvements

More interior storage compartments by reducing from 3 to 2 front cupholders. Wipers always have to be on auto (should be able to manage manually). Stay clips on all 4 carpet mats vs. Just 2 in front. Battery in front not in trunk with difficult access.
